Responsible Gaming

Before you place any bet, decide how much you can afford to lose and treat that amount as already spent. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, stop and talk to someone. The independent organisations linked on this page, and on every page of this site, are a good place to start.

How do I keep gambling within a budget I can live with?

Set your amount before you start, not while you are playing. Once money is on the table, wins and losses distort judgement, so a figure chosen in advance is the only one made with a clear head. Treating that amount as spent means a loss costs you nothing you had planned to keep.

  • Never chase a loss. Bigger or faster bets do not change the odds. They only raise the amount at risk at the moment you are least able to judge it.
  • Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit, loans and money set aside for bills turn a lost stake into a debt that outlasts the session.
  • Take regular breaks. Stepping away interrupts the rhythm of play and gives you a natural point to check whether you still want to continue.
  • Involve someone else early. Another person can notice changes you might explain away, and it is easier to speak up before the problem grows.

Can this site help me set limits or stop gambling?

No. Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion belong to an account at the gambling destination, and you arrange them inside that account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application. Nothing published here can switch such a control on, check it or enforce it.

Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout these pages, including the front page.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages. Nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Where can I find independent help?

This page, like every page of the site, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • GAM STOP
  • NCPG

Each is an independent source of help.

How are these help links different from the other links on the site?

They are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial:

  • Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking.
  • They are set to nofollow.
  • They open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website.

This site receives nothing when you follow one of them. Once you are on another site, that site keeps its own record of your visit, and this site does not control its practices.
